I think the states that dont allow them are that way because archery and muzzleloading is supossed to be a primative hunting method and they want to keep it that way. thats why here in oregon there stricked on archery gear as well as muzzleloaders, like NO inline muzzy's and has to have an open ignition and no sabots. no scopes only open sights. and with bows no mechanical heads or lighted sights or arrows. but that little rule will change next year. The only advatage i see with them is you can track your arrow better in low light conditions but i'm not really sure if you could call that an advantage.
