I am a very caring person toward pets . i have a border collie myself . and I love her like a child . but i seen so much distruction from pit bulls that if one came in my yard it's dead . No offence on your part . but if you want to keep your pit bull keep it off my property . I'm not goi ng any further with this subject . nobody will hear any more from me about pit bulls. I hate them and I would shoot first and ask questions later .My end of discussion

Ill do the same to your collie.. keep it in your yard or its dead

I think the problem is ths dogs ability. There are lots of vicious dogs out there, but not many can compete with a pit bull when it comes to ability to do major damage. I watched my boxer get tore up by a pit bull. Call it irresponsible ownership, whatever you want. The fact is they are bred to be tough and aggressive. A good owner has to de-tune that instict and train them to be good. The difference between a pit and a beagle is like a thoroughbred horse and a quarterhorse. Both are bred specifically for a porpose and a trainer has to manipulte an individual animal according to it's job. P.S. This is possible, i have a quail/duck hunting border collie to prove it.

By the very fact that this thread exists suggests theres more to the poor maligned pit bull than most are willing to admit to. And to compare bites by chihuahuas or like breeds is ridiculous because its the determination and severity of the attacks that are at the heart of the issue not the number. And every time you hear about an attack by a pit bull you hear the same old lament from the owner, "I just don't understand what happened. She's always been such a loving, gentle animal." I know this. If I had young children at home and a neighbor moved in next door with one of these critters, it'd up and disappear real quick.

This thread was started for a bunch of guys on here who have Pit Bulls or who love the breed, we don't care to hear your uneducated and ignorant opinions about them.....did you read the thread name???????? Four of us were together not to long ago doing some hunting talking about our Pit Bulls or ones we have owned in the past and decided to start this thread. Trust us we know your opinions on Pit Bulls, especially if you never owned one, so take your bullsh**t and go elsewhere.

Now now. You have to know that if you stand in the middle of a brush pile soaked with gas and light a cigerate, something bad may happen! Those of us that support you, I don't think want to hear complaint's because you got opinion's you didn't care to hear but that you had to know would come. confused?

Well Ive sat back and watched this thread for a bit just to see what happened and sure enough the idiots and the ignorant came out as I figured...Ive owned a few Pits maself and Have YET for any of them to even offer a love bite on ANYONE...I dont have one at the moment because Im in a place that doesnt allow pets (temperary place) or I would....All my kids were raised with a Pit as a BEST FRIEND. They are absolutley wonderful dogs to have as long as they are treated right..You misstreat ANY animal and it will turn on you and bite you in the azz. One thing I NEVER worried about were my kids getting hurt or messed with while them boys were around (never owned a female pit) Hell They even looked at me like dinner if I spanked my kids with them there. They are one of the most protective dogs on the planet and will give thier lives for you in a flat second with no forthought whatsoever. And comments from people such as TheNail are just from sheer idiocy and ignorance. #1 if you are a good dog owner your dog wont be roaming around the neighborhood without a leash. #2 shoot my dog for no reason and you better have another round chamberd for ME but I shoot back so keep that in concideration. The mentality of people towards Pits was generated by the media and the stupid...If you think that a Pit is a naturally agressive dog you are sorely mistaken..They are actually a Very kind and loving dog that just happens to be one bad azz pup when you mess with it or its family. They are kinna like your Typical bouncers in a country bar...Teddy Bears till you screw up
