Love For The American Pit Bull Terrier

I know there are quite a few Pit enthusiasts on here, lets show our love and support for these wonderful, misunderstood animals.

Steve, here is one of those videos I was telling you about, I'll post some of the others when I find them!

Looking for Pitbull enthusiasts??
Not all pitbulls are bad right ! And not all bank robbers that point a gun will shot, right !
Personaly, I dealt with both and I'd take my chances on the bad guy with the gun anytime. He's more predictable.

HAMMER1 Stick to the puck slapping, maple sucking your use to..

Pits are the best pet you could have if you are the right kind of owner for it. Not everyone can own a pit and make it a house dog. Mine are.. Most people are so freaking ignorant when it comes to pits, they throw them under the bus. Just because some stupid thug down the street owns one and its vicious, doesnt mean every pit will be or is.. If you think otherwise, you should shut your mouth, because you have no idea about this breed. This dog was Americas dog for years, until the wrong hands got ahold of them. I put German Sheppards at the top of the vicious, non provoked attack list, and I have the scars to prove it. Since everyone is so smart and hates pits, go ahead and hate me while your at it.. no skin off my arse.

My dogs are so vicious eye roll , I put this beagle in with them as a 6 week old puppy and they played and played... 2 years later, see any damage to this beagle...?

And unfortunately dogs usually develop a temperment similar to that of the owner and react or over react in the same manner.
You have a nice day too.

Amen to that brotha, those are some beautiful dogs, including the beagle. Check out that ATTS link above, the American Tempermant Testing Society and American Pit Bull Terriers rank as one of the highest, in fact they rank higher than a Golden Retriever and even a Beagle when it comes to their tempermants! Good Stuff! Thumbs up

Guy's. Please don't tear down this thread.
Mike and I spoke about putting it up on this site because of the (seemingly) levelheadedness of the posters on here. Any other site this would turn into all out war on the pit bull. Most likely by people that don't even know one pit bull terrier. I have seen and hunted with alot of different dogs and I have to say that I have never seen any animal that is more devoted to it's master and family than a pit. These animals can be trained to do harm but when they are raised in a loving environment....there is non better.
I hope all the people that really don't know what they are talking about stay out of this thread. It seems that we can't talk about pit bulls in a civilized manner anywhere else......maybe here.
Mike that isn't the video I was refering to. I'll try to find the link and post it here.

If you post a thread about a controversial topic, you'll get controversy! It has nothing to do with being level headed, we simply all have different opinions. Pit bulls are a breed that people either love or hate, there is no in between. No one breed of dog is for everyone.

I personally am not particularly fond of the breed, so would never have one. Some friends have had them and I'm ok with it. They take good care of their dogs. They are gentle and even tempered.

The pits I worry about are the ones that are NOT well cared for. It seems those are the ones that make the news with their horrific attacks. Here in Colorado they've killed and mauled countless children and adults. Its true that other breeds will attack as well, but the majority will be pits.

Those are the ones that you and all others against pits, make people want to ban them all. I dont hear about other dogs like rotts wanting to be banned and they can do some damage from their pure size. Pits are not typically a big dog. A well fed and exercised pit will rarely reach over 70lbs and females usually 50-60lbs. They are smaller, but because they are so thick with muscle, they have some weight.

Wrong! Pits are the only ones to make the news, because there is a nationwide scare that every stray dog you see with a wide chin is a pitbull... It makes me sick seeing how the news hammers pits.. There are more bites from German Sheppards , poodles, or chihuahuas than pitbulls. They just go under the radar. I have been bitten by those other 3, yet not a pit.. I have been bitten more by the chihauhua than anything.. Those little son of a guns have no temperment.
