Thank you Maineguide. I will try that. I am going to the Eastern Sportsman Show in Harrisburg Pa. next month. I'm gonna search for an outfitter there also. To bad your not still guiding, I might have come to visit you. Thanks Again Kevin

There will likely be a fella named Mike Bowden there, of Hidden Alaska Outfitters. My Buddy Al and I hunted with Mike last spring in Alaska for black bear and had a great time. If you see Mike, please tell him Ed said Hello! Also, be sure to look at the huge Grizzlies Yes  his clients take from the same camp, about a month before his black bear hunts.

Hey Tn. How did you guys do?

I,ll look them up when we get there. How did you do in Alaska? My wife and I went this past April and had a great time. We were on a boat hunt with Alaskan Coastal Outfitters. I saw 16 bears and passed on one the fouth day that I regreted later. I was hoping for a min. 7'. Here is a photo of the 7 + footer that was killed on the first afternoon. Also a pic of the boat and assistant guide Luke.

Alaska Bear

Nice bear! We hunted the interior and stayed in a remote spike camp for 8 days on our own. We did see a good number of bears, but neither of us brought a rug home with us. I would, however, go back in a second (and likely will) if I can afford it again. Spike camp living is not the easiest, but we really enjoyed being away from everything. It was a great trip. Be sure to look at the grizzly pictures from April 2010 of bears taken from Mike's camps!! Yes

Alaska Bear Hunt

Hi Tn, I found Hidden Alaska Outfitters on the show web site. Mikes at booth #6726. We'll definitely stop and see him.  Alaska was a dream hunt of a lifetime for us. But they do say once you go to Alaska you will find a way to go back.:D  Take care
