Looking to learn

I am looking to start reloading. I have a friend who'll let me use his equipment, if I buy the dies. I shoot .270, and he doesn't have the dies.

Question:

Does anybody have any experience with loading the 90 Grain Varminter HP from Sierra? I am looking for light and fast for longer range shots on predators around central Texas.
