I just shot some out of my 45/70. I have to admit, they are nice (and suprisingly forgiving on the shoulder). I thought about using them this year too. They are meant for longer distances, so my only concern is how expansion will be under 100yds. I need to do some reading. I havn't shot anything with them though, so I couldn't tell you first hand accounts. I just barely got the nerve this month to load them in the tubular magazine.
