Got out with my uncle and a friend for some water water fishing. Got a good stockpile for an upcoming fish fry. Caught Largemouth bass, walleye, perch, and one nice catfish, and slabside blue gill. Lot a fun and the ones I fried last night were delicious.

Congratulations on a nice pile of fish and some good eating for sure. I am headed up to my sons place today to fish some high country lakes for a few days. Then back over to Blue Mesa for the weekend. Still need to get you over to Blue and catch some trout and salmon.

Again today and the bite was in spurts throughout the day. I landed five largemouth, the largest 18 inches, one white bass, and one crappie. My uncle got largemouth and white bass and perch.
Critter get out there and get into some fish to dull that edge I'm sure you got waiting for muzzleloader season. Looking forward to hearing accounts of both.
SGM, hopefully I can make a trip like that this but if not for sure next year. Good luck on your trip and post pics.

Looks like a lot of fun and for sure you are doing very well. I will post up some of the Blue Mesa fishing fun later today. Spent last week in Craig with my son. Got in one day of fishing before he had knee surgery and spent the rest of the time helping him out. Wife and I did get back to BM for the weekend so that was good.

Got our home under contract and found a new one to move into all starting at the end of June. So, consequently have been packing and moving stuff into storage like it's an Olympic event. Good thing is we close on Aug 18th and moved in enough that I'll get a few days to use my archery antelope tag and then archery "ELK" which won't be molested by the move! Anyway, snuck out to get a few hours of fishing in last night and was having fun catch and releasing little baby bass between a big weed bed and shore. Moved to where the weed bed ends with an edge to deeper water. Caught a couple of nice 15 inch crappie on a bass spinner and then threw on a Storm shad plastic minnow with a twister tail. Really good action on these when they sink. Was letting it sink then realing slow and sink again. Got a monster slam and immediately starting hearing the drag scream. Took a few minutes to play him out and then almost lost him when I got him to shore, hooked came out and I had to frantically grab him before he was gone johnson! My biggest largemouth ever 19 1/2 inches and 4 1/4 pound. That was likely the last fish trip of the summer for me as once moved it will be bow time. Fun way to end the season and a nice reprieve from packing and moving.

Nice catch and congratulations on the house deal. Once all the contracts are done and you get settled into your new place I hope we can get out a few times and chase some critters or do some ice fishing.

Russ, between elk and antelope tags with me and my dad gonna be trying to fill them thru Aug-Nov. But definitely get together for some predator or fishing trips after that. I'll be in touch.
