I know lumenocks are illegal in CO. I just seen an advertisement for these lighted vanes on arrows. They said they are 50 state legal. Has anyone heard of these? Are they any good? How is arrow flight?
If you are refeerring to new vane out by Fusion, and I assumimng you are. They refer to them as glow vanes. I would venture to think that they will be legal in all states as they are not battery operated. I have a buddy that usex some glow in the dark wraps and they were perfectly legal. On another note they look reall cool and we will see how they work. I ordered a few in different colors and see how they work. If they work I hope that they come out with some more colors. Curious to see if anybody else tries to come up with something to compete with them. I have used their regualr vanes before and they work great. Hopefully these work as well.
I havent heard of these yet, they sound pretty cool and would be legal in oregon, we just cant have battery opperated devces. I'll have to check them out and see about getting some. thanks for the heads up.
Others have offered up a sighting of roughly 2 inches high at 100 yards as a good sighting scheme. In my own experience I have come to favor a sighting of 3.5 inches high at 100 yards. This allows for the individual to hold dead-on (directly in the middle of the top and bottom) the animal out to roughly 350 yards.
