Heck no

Ex,

Were you ever able to seal the deal using that Montana decoy for antelope?  I was able to get to ~60 yards with it, but that is still out of my archery range.

We were probably giggling too much and not patient enough to get within 80ish yards.

That is understandable.  I definitely felt foolish crouching behind the decoy trying to get close enough for a shot, but I still thought it was fun.

If you really want to post up some of your pictures, try saving a copy of the pictures as a jpeg.  Depending on which program you use, you can even adjust the save settings to lower the quality of the image.  It will still look nice on the computer, but then your pictures will be lower on the 4 Mb limit for this website.

Not the thick and great

Not the thick and great amount of antlers in all of the other pics but I am certainly proud of these.  My son came to visit right after Christmas 2012 and we spent 3 days at my dad's property.  Nikolas hit this button buck at 30 yards.  It was a perfect shot as seen in the 2nd pic.  The deer didn't go more than 35 yards.  It was great to butcher this fine animal with my youngest son!

That's great !

Retired2hunt,

That is what it is all about right there ! Having a great time out hunting, enjoying the outdoors, and even taking a great animal with your son.

It's not always about the size of the trophy, but the quality of the hunt. Thanks for sharing the short story and the pics ! Thumbs up
