That bull is a hog!!! Are you sure you're not feeding it grain to fatten it up? Laugh

Getting photos during the summer months is fun, isn't it?

Yesterday I got within 50 yards of 3 5X5 bulls in unit 49. We watched them for a good long while.

This morning I got about the same distance from 2 larger bulls in unit 69. I was able to count 7 points on one beam but that was the only one I was able to count because my dog spooked them.

I've been seeing nice bulls in these other units but unable to scout my own hunting unit this year because it is far away on the Western slope.

actualy i was spitting distance close to these critters, let me tell u how i do it .

after spotting the animal, i watch it for as long as ai could, and while doing so i try to spot the trail the animal used to get to this spot and then i go to that trail and wait for the animal to come to me, with me not moving and the animal walking down the trail to their bedding i 9 out of 10 get to be this close as long i keep the wind in my face .. with practice and patience anyone can do it .

if u wanna try to get that close any other way i think it would be a lot harder if not impossible cause the noise and movement u r gonna make gonna be really tough to make the job done .

Dude your good! I'm sure you could feed yourself with nothing but a spear. I'm very impressed, keep those pics coming.
