Left over doe antelope WY

Hey guys, I live in Denver CO, and didnt draw a tag for pronghorn here in CO... plus my available dates dont fit the dates offered here for the antelope season.

I know that WY is the land of the plentyful pronghorn, with better access to public land were these animals roam free in the prairie... some poetic spill here.

Anyway, any recommendations on areas to get a Left over tag for a doe speed goat in wyoming. Where can I find maps of the areas and seasons for these tags? and which public area will offer a decent success rate? Dont mind camping out, or driving out, or hiking.

Thanks a lot!
Pablo

This might help:

Don't just look for areas with public land, look for areas with Hunter Management Areas or Walk-In areas.

Those were the ones that I was looking at, but have no idea how to figure out which ones will be productive... Of course the ones with the red star are probably harder, since it says difficult public access.
Anywhere that I can find a map to see how areas are distributed?
thanks

i would not do it,i got desprite 2 years ago and bought deer and pronghorn tags for up by Thermopalis and the big horns and it was the worst hunt iv been on i did kill a ok mule deer and ok buck pronghorn but the problem is no public ya there is some walk in area but no animals they are all on the privt property i mean hundreds of deer and pronghorn even whitetail but every land owner was the same NO,NO,NO,AND HELL NO. there were sign's at their drive ways that said if you are a deer hunter the answer is no , you can not hunt this property. I had to pay some lady 500$ to shoot the pronghorn and luck out on a very small pc of public. I would say every one is right do your homework don't jump into it.

My plan is for doe pronghorn, hopefully it will be easier... but I will keep that in mind for getting licenses...

There is a map of the units available on the website and maps of the hunter management and walk in areas. They aren't easy to find, but they are there, as are the success rates. You'll need to spend a few hourse sorting through them.

WY doe pronghorn

I have a hard time figuring the way the hunt areas are delimited in the maps and the areas in the Left over license page, plus the season open for each area.
I found the walk in access maps, but cant figure how to translate that into the licenses available. I am sorting through the booklets and assesing the private land % of each area vs chance to harvest a mature buck (per the hunting guide on the website) and seems like area 76, 82, 83 are decent bets... does it make sense?

Thanks!

The left over doe/fawn antelope (along with the other left overs) went on sale 21 July. The best areas go fast. If you want to hunt in Wyoming you better have a plan of attack to get a tag by Jan 1, then fall back plans after each draw
