Leaving for Texas in the morning.

Leaving for Texas to hunt whitetail in the morning. Season doesn't open till Saturday but we get to look for hogs for a couple of days first. We have turkey tags as well just in case as that opens Saturday as well. Should be a great time for my son, my dad and I.

I haven't had time to post much this last week with hunting, cutting meat, work, and getting ready to leave.

Good luck to everyone heading out for third season here as it opens the same day. My son and daughter have doe tags with a couple of days to go after them when we get back. Of course my son is scheduled to go to work just 4 hours after we plan to get home, but then he just sleeps the whole time we're driving anyway. lol

Good luck on you hogs,

Good luck on you hogs, turkey and whitetail hunt. You already have had a great year so why not top it off with a nice whity buck and some hog sausage. I will be heading out for 3rd season Thursday so getting pretty excited to get out. Let us know how you do.

Ya, good luck.  I hope you

Ya, good luck.  I hope you have yet another great hunt with your son and dad.  It's cool you get to spend so much time hunting with them.

I've always wanted to go to Texas to hunt hogs.  Let us know how it goes.  If your story is completely over-the-top awesome I may just have to figure out where to go down there.

Very cool Hunter!  You have had one heck of a season so far, so I am sure you will continue to do so!  Hope you stack on a piggie or 2, to go along with a nice whitetail!

Best of luck!

Well we arrived safely in

Well we arrived safely in Childress, Tx. 12 hour drive but it's not too bad really as the weather was all good. We get too sleep in late tomorrow mornig and then head out to the property for an afternoon hunt. I'm not sure how many hogs are on the place but we will be finding out soon.

That is very cool and glad

That is very cool and glad you made it without incident. Good lucky on the hogs, turkey and deer. If your luck hold like the rest of this season you will have a great hunt. Looking forward to reading the story and seeing some photos.
