I know JR, my memory is already shot! Did you go up toward Mountain House for those photos in the woods? You can't have that snow in town yet. But theres some grouse up there too. There's a creek just before Mountain House. That's the picture in my house by the slider door.
Those where a couple miles further up the hill, towards Sisters. Did stop at the mountain house and let her run that creek for a little bit, just left the camera in the truck that time :/ As far as snow here in town...HAHHAHAHA we got a real heavy frost the other day, grass was white, does that count?
I rember seeing that picture next to your slider, I told the wife it looked familar, just wasnt sure actually where it was...heh.
Seen some recent picture of your boys, they seem to really be growing Hows the old man doing? Is he able to get out in the yard to at least chase feathers still?
Wapiti Wacker how close are you to Moscow? The reason I ask, the breeder I got my pup from has a 600 acre ranch near there, says he has harvested an elk out of there for the past 5 years. Seen pictures from the area, looks nice.
Let me start off by saying I am not a farmer.
I am a deer hunter and I do own a tractor and have all of the equipment - but that does not make you a farmer any more than standing in the garage makes you a car - well, you get the picture!
Having said that - and with most of my ineptitude fairly well hidden - I do think that buckwheat is one of the most under rated cover crops out there.
I say cover crop because I see mixed results as it relates to the deer eating the plants.
