I now recognize the name and you are right. They have a great reputation for back packs. I believe they make, based on other internet discussions, some of the best frame packs around. I wonder why they decided to get into the gun making business.

Like I said before... they never really actually made it into the gun business. The owner is a guy that does not accept anything less than the best and therefore he recognized that no one made a rifle that fit his idea as the perfect backcountry rifle and so he decided to try and design it. And in my opinion (and in a lot of guys opinions) he did. But he didn't think so and so the prototype models and a very limited supply of others were all that ever got produced. That is why they are so rare and cost so much. They are amazing though. My brother drools everytime we get to see one. Its a shame that they did not make it into full production.
Ok, excuse me, me bad...I guess I should have said, I wonder why they "attempted" to go into the gun making business. :D Seriously, I imagine from the reputatin they have with their other equipment, had they gone into the rifle business, they would have produced first class rifles.
I bet there would have been a market for their rifles and one MOA is a pretty darn good rifle.
