Kentucky rifle opener

Kentucky rifle opened today and this afternoon I took my newer 336ER (1985) out on it's maiden voyage and it worked like a charm on a nice Kentucky buck. First shot was a tad far back, second thru the neck worked very well. I will get a picture of the bullet up in a bit. A picture perfect mushroom from the 200gr Winchester factory load. I was reminded just how old I'm getting after dragging and loading it by myself  But that still didn't take the smile off my face

My first 336ER, bought NIB, actually took a nice buck on it's first day out as well, 26 years ago!

Looks like we have a picture from the trail cam of him from just two days before!

appreciate

Thanks for all the comments! My luck through the 1st two weeks of Tennessee's gun season has not been as good, however. I've seen a good number of does and very young bucks, but not one mature buck yet. Of course we still have another month+ of gun season left here, so it may still happen.

Best of luck to everyone else still looking as well!!
