Kansas Trophy Elk harvested in once-in-lifetime drawing

http://www.kansascity.com/2011/12/15/3322629/outdoors-digest.html

I've been putting in for this permit for a while, I can't wait to get my chance.

Strangely, this animal was harvested on private land outdide of Fort Riley, where most of the huntable elk in Kansas live.

Nice

Nice Bull, but from that picture, i don't see it scoring 350 to 370 ?, but it is hard to judge from a picture.

It's a 350 bull at least.

It's a 350 bull at least.  Most people get the pictures with the hunter sitting 10 back of the animal framed by the antlers and that is when it is hard to judge a head.

I have a 343 bull and looking at it with me standing by it you would never believe it but then I am 6'5" and 225 lbs.

Yeah, he looks like a pretty

Yeah, he looks like a pretty scrawny kid though. not 225 pounds. if i could guess, imd put the bull in the 34o_35o range since his top tines are a little weak. but it's an awesome bull. especially for down here.
