Re: Just one gun?

Drillings are a awesome idea and have been around a long time. They are more popular in Europe and have never really caught on in America. Probably due to the fact of the high price tag on most. I would love one but I have just never had the cash to spend as most good drillings are up thre in price with double rifles.

"Good" drillings can be bought for an affordable price, heavily engraved drilling with all kinds of options are priced waaaaaay up there.

Most hunters have numerous rifles, shotguns, ect... The guns they already have, cost those owners a LOT more than a decent drilling.

While it is possible to get one affordably, I guess that depends on what most people consider affordable. You got an exceptional deal on yours as usually the Krieghoff catalog is more than $350.00. Ten grand and up if memory serves is about what most things in that catalog go for.

Re: Just one gun?

I see you are doing like many folks do, and focus on the most expensive models... As i "already said" above, i've seen them from $500 and up, with nice scoped shooters for around $1,500.00. I consider those models "affordably" to anyone who really wants one.

There's a LOT of choises in REALLY nice scoped models with insert bbls ect... for around 2 to 3K, and those are like new, with Zeiss optics ect... BUT, if you have your mind made up that you can't find one, i'm sure you never will...
