Just Finished Good Book

I just finished the book, "A Hunt For Justice" by Lucinda Schroeder. It is a true story about how she infiltrated a large scale poaching operation up in Alaska. She was the fish and wildlife service's first female under cover officer. It centers around dall sheep in a wildlife refuge. It is a great book and a fast read. I suggest it to any of you guys.

Sounds like a good read but I

Sounds like a good read but I bet my local library doesn't have it.  I live in a super liberal town and the library doesn't have much in the way of hunting books.  Not one Jack O'Conner book.  Pitiful selection.

I hate buying  books so I probably won't read it, but it sounds like a good one.

I have a question for you

I have a question for you Hawkeye, there was a show on the Discovery channel I believe a couple of years ago about a Federal Fish and Wildlife officer that worked the western states.  He wrote a book but I can not remember the name of the book or the officer.  It was a quite interesting show and one of the funniest parts of it was when he was trying to get evidence on some samon poachers.  He ended up putting on a wet suit and swimming up the river to where they were fishing at night.  The poachers then lobed a fishing spinner into the water and he grabbed it and held on to it as they reeled him in.  Then once he was close enough he stood up and told them who he was.  I would of loved to of been there when he did that.

So do you happen to know the title of the book or its author?  That is one book that I would like to have.

Thanks for the heads-up

Thanks for the heads-up Hawkeye.  Sounds like the kind of book I like to read, so I might have to give it a look see.

Perhaps the library's staff figured it was worthwhile to have the book and show everyone just how terrible those hunters and fisherman really are! (said tongue in cheek, I can assure you!Thumbs up )
