Just back from Texas,,again

Just got back from a short Texas trip for hog and turkey hunting. Only had two and a half days to hunt and the weather didn't co operate at all with below freezing temps. Nice before qand after we we're there of course.

My daughter got her first turkey on the last evening but the rest of us didn't even see any and they weren't talking at all. Managed to call in a couple coyotes while it was slow and got my first double. My daughter got one of those as well. Unfortunately my son struck out and saw nothing at all to shoot this time out. None of us saw a hog at all.

Might get a chance to go back for a couple more days next month before it's over but not sure yet.

Some day I am going to have

Some day I am going to have to give Texas a try, just need to get up the ambition to do it.

Too bad the weather didn't cooperate with you, I know how it is when you plan on nice weather and then it all goes away in a hurry. Other than that at least you daughter scored on a nice gobbler and those two yotes are nice also.

Congrats

Wade,

Your hunt might not have been as productive as you may have wanted, but it looks like you guys did well enough. Congrats to you and your daughter on some great critters.

NICE!!! Congrats to your Daughter, that is a beautiful Bird she took. Congrats to you on the double, both coyote and being able to enjoy these moments with your children. Tell your son to hang in there, it'll be better next time!!
