Jindal and Steele video clips

This interview on yesterday's Today show with Jindal was great. He's calm, composed and a great speaker.

I like Steele, and believe he'll be good for the RNC. He can get the Republican party back on track. We need to get back to our conservative roots and stick to them.

Coincidently I'd have to say Jindal and Steele are also great for Democrats. I saw a clip from an interview on Fox earlier today.

I guess Snowe and Steele and the other two are meeting to discuss things.

Ran into an old clip from the primaries today also. Bobby Jindal certainly has a varied and diverse skill set for someone not yet 40.

Wow. She has a really nice webcam.

Like I said...they've gotta do a Palin on Jindal. He took over from Katrina Blanco and now Louisiana is the only state in the Union that has been adding jobs. Gee...he's created a whole lot more jobs than Obama. Civet's already working on the condescension mantra I see. That's where they're headed...don't discuss Jindal's record, just pass around a list of condescending, snotty remarks and get enough people to repeat them, hoping that Americans will start to believe them without questioning WHY they believe them.

Ya TPM is pretty good. First bloggers to win major journo awards, mostly for bringing down Bush's DOJ, remember Gonzo?

I have to mostly agree about Jindal too. Tremendous record of job creation, I guess he created those jobs, even though I don't know how, maybe clicked his heels, oh wait, it's becoming clearer,

Louisiana has gotten $130 billion in post-Katrina aid. How is it that the stars of the Republican austerity movement come from the states that suck up the most federal money?

Gosh that's a lot of hand outs. Would you call that pork? Feeding at the government trough? Maybe we should try that on a nationwide scale? Do for the rest of the country what was done for Louisiana.

Only in my dreams do these two clowns last with the Republican parties. Steele is a laughable with his attempts to bring hip hop to Republicans, I have a mental image in my head of Rove doing his dance.

But on a political level his alienation of moderate Republicans could have serious pay offs, for the other party. Push hard enough and one of them might jump ship. Imagine the senate with Franken and one woman from Maine. Oops that's 60, rules change time. Wouldn't even have to play nice, just write the legislation and pass it.

Besides his exorcism powers Jindal had many other reasons he'd be good for the Democratic Party, but ignoring them, he just doesn't have much of a hand to play. Wrong side of history, and it becomes more obvious every day. I'm hoping for a remade sagebrush Republicanism, had enough of the southerners.

I honestly have a real tough time following you sometimes, because your posts are all over the place.

You've always used Louisiana to claim Bush botching things. Now you're using his action was so effective that Jindal couldn't help but succeed. A lot of that aid might not've been necessary if Jindal's former predecessor had actually done her job, by the way.

As for Bush's DOJ, once again you're clicking your heels. The president can fire all the attorneys he wants at his discretion. They're appointees and serve at his pleasure. I'm waiting to see which ones Obama fires when they start resisting some of his agendas.

As far as Steele goes, you're illustrating my point perfectly -- saying he's "laughable" to marginalize and ridicule, rather than address his platform. And oh, by the way, the hip-hop comment is racist.

Jindal's hand is that he remembers conservative values -- the ones the party has wandered away from. Wrong side of history? Those values ended the Cold War and did a lot of great things under Reagan. And oh, by the way, Republican values were integrating the South when Democratic governors in Alabama and Arkansas were doing everything they could to stop it. Talk about being on the wrong side of history...

Wow! Had anyone made a similar remark about Obama on this board, you would have gone ballistic. Nice Civetcat, you accuse the conservatives of hate speech, you do a mighty fine job yourself.

After the dems are done - we'll need someone with some exorcism powers to rid the demons! Evil! Might be a nice talent to possess.
