Just curious for anyone who may know. Is it possible to make any cash off a monster buck that you've killed?

I live in MO and I heard the shooter of the No. 7 buck was offered $10,000 and an exact replica for his . but he didnt take it.
I f you go on ebay people pay big dollars for anything 180 and over. seems like 180 is the big number, but thats a buck of a lifetime, why on earth would you want to sell it?

Just about every person that sells their antlers, regrets it later.

I'll try the horn soup and keep my bucks on the wall at my house.

If I hung all the deer racks i've gotten over the years on my wall there would be no room for the mother inlaws picture !! hahahaha

10 grand and a replica would be very tempting. Probably more so if it was some place like Cabela's instead of an individual. Be neat to go shopping there and see your mount displayed.

10 grand would buy a lot of hunting gear or a good downpayment on an Africa trip.

Anyone see this one? One post I saw said Cabela's had offered $150,000 for this deer. Can't find out if the amount is true, but have found multiple other sites saying that Cabela's and Bass are interested. Here's from one site....

------------------------------------

"This buck was taken this past Saturday morning with a muzzleloader. It has 40 points and scores around 220 B&C ( unofficially). The wire around it's horns is from a hot wire to keep it out of the garden, which didn't work. I was told Bass Pro and Cabela's are already trying to bid for it. This is only the second buck that Baler has ever taken. His other buck was a 12' eight point. The only problem that Baler has now is there is no where to go but down. What a monster. "
