Hello out there follow hunters I'm Scott and I'm new to this forum. I can't wait to ask all you pros a bunch of questions. I hope you won't mind? I live here in NewBrunswick and love to hunt. My first question would be does anyone know the behavior of the deer during the hunting season? Like when the rut is on? and when to use rattles either aggresively or not, when to grunt aggressively or not? and the dates best to utilize these calls and rattles so I know with confidence what to do when I go out there.? Help!

Hello Scott Big smile
The best learning comes from being right in the field and trying new things to see what works best in your area. Where I am the rut takes place in Mid Nov. but there are different stategies for before and after the rut also. A book could be written on the ?'s you have asked! Take a good look in the Whitetail section and after that like Chester said we'll be happy to help Thumbs up

Here's a link to help you get started about rattling:

There is a huge amount of info here but sometimes it is hard to find what you are looking for. Take the info you get as a guideline and modify it to your area through experience.
