I have got some info on uint 16 around Rabbit Ears mountain if you would like it.

t's not the big game CD, it is the digital maps. The CD just has a compilation of all the data you can get off of the website. It's packaged a little better, but it doesn't help with remote scouting the way the maps do if you open them in Google Earth.

There are a lot of areas in Colorado that have good hunting. It just depends on how far you are willing to go, wat kind of terrain you want to hunt, what kind of trophy quality you are after, and how many people you want to deal with. There something good to say about nearly every unit, but whether or not it fits what you are looking for is another story.

I would like to hear about unit 16 rabbit ears area. For now we are looking for area where we can possible stay near in motel/hotel. We have tossed the idea around to camp but have an out of state relative coming and don't know how much equipment he has or is willing to bring. I have heard some good things about walden area and seems like a pretty easy place to stay nearby from what i know. I don't know about other areas?? We will hunt any terrain and really not into trophy quality right now since only been doing it a couple of years. Just want to get some experience under our belts. Most of our lives we hunted whitetail,turkey,bear and just getting started in the west since i have moved here. Also have an ATV so willing to travel in and put on the foot miles.

I too would be interested in unit 16 near the pass for archery. I'd probably be limited to only foot travel after I park my car, but I've been through there in the summer and it looked like great territory.
