Improved iron sights?

My first post after an indeterminate lerk period.

I live in Southern California. I also have a TC Omega Z5.

Here in the land of sand, rocks and no game larger than beagle. We aren't permitted to use optics on smoke sticks, in primitive season (not that there's much to hunt). Any way; I'm wandering if there's a way to extend the sight plane (increase the space between front and rear sights) and maybe mount an aperture sight "peep sight".

Improved iron sights?

I haven't tried the peep sites but being an archery guy I would think they'd work well until you get in low light situations. I'm a big fan of the fiber optic stuff. Does yours have bright fiber optics on them?
