Hi I'm new and I found this board and thought it was pretty cool and thought I could get advice for my boyfriend. Ok so we were out in the woods the other day (we like to just drive around up there, he scouts too, might as well) anyway and all of the sudden holy cow "it's a bear, it's a bear" I had never in my 25 yrs seen a bear in the wild, I was so excited. Well so this happend to be about 4 days before bear opened and he has never bear hunted and so because he seen it he had to get his tag, well we saw it there the day after the next then didn't see it for a couple days he saw it yesterday morning but not at all today. And evreytime we see it, it's on the run back into the woods. (he's tried his squaller to try and make him stop but that bear is runnin for dear life)He is very bummed and I have no idea, if anyone can give good bear hunting advice I would appericiate it. I don't know if this would help but everytime we have spotted it it has been on the side of the hill just outside the timber in the clear cut and runs strait for the timber as soon as he hears us. I don't know if it makes any diffrence either but we live just southeast of albany so I didn't know if ther was certain tactics for certain terrain or what not.
