I just founf out that I will be traveling to Illinois in November. Is there any chance for a non resident to still get a tag of some sort? I don't even know what hunt is mid-November but I will have a few free days to get away. Any advice for me?

I know you could get on through an outfitter, btu not sure about general tags. Check on the Illinois fish and game site, or better yet, call and speak to a real person.
Good luck if you do. Always wanted to hunt Il.......
