Ideas for Hunting gadgets and/or helpful devices

Hello All,

I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Montana State University and am presented with a design project this semester. I was born in Helena and have lived in Montana all of my life. I love hunting and get out many times during both the archery and rifle season. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has any ideas for cool devices or anyting that has ever been thought up when out in the field. I will just be designing it, and going through the whole process that accompanies Mechanical Engineering design. If you spark an idea I will definitely give you credit for the idea and keep you updated on the whole process.

Thanks and good luck out there this season!

Brian

How about a range finder built into your bow sight that auto-adjusts the sight for the proper distance, when you push a button on the grip after you draw?

Another thing that would be nice is some kind of tracking device on your arrow so you can 1) find your arrow & 2) track you animal.

it could be activated be kinetic energy so the battery would only be on after it's been shot.
