Finally back on the forum after 8 months withougt internet, I'm surprised my password still worked. I snipped this picture off of my video camera. I hunted this buck hard during archery season a couple of years back. No luck. Got pretty close scouting though.

I really have the itch to get going now. Been practicing with the bow. Seen a nice 5x5 this morning, but he wa a little off for my camera. I'm looking forward to using my Fur check from Trapping to upgrade to a nice one.

Thanks Hiker. Good to be around you again. Nice place, just needs more action. I'm getting the bug early this year. Can't wait to head out for Archery season.

It should start picking up around here as hunting season approaches. Did you draw some NV archery tags? Idaho sure has some nice muleys.

I didn't draw anything. I freaked out and just went to Arizona and bought an over the counter tag. I hunt hard, so I should at least be able to have the opportunity to take a Deer.

GUTPYLZ, I noticed in a previous post your disappointment that Arizona doesn't sell tags online. You're not alone in that department, but we're readjusting to the paper apps again.

I've also noticed where you missed drawing a tag in NV - and consequently purchased an OTC in AZ. Doesn't Nevada offer OTC's for residents? If not, shame on them and thank God for Arizona OTC opportunities.

BTW -There's 541 left-over archery deer tags in Unit 7. Yes You should explore that opportunity, the deer densities are great. Harvest success percentages by archers is responsible for it going to a draw. With that many left-over archery tags, I'd say you'd have a great chance of getting one, especially since Unit 7 is removed from the OTC opportunity. Food for thought...

Ya, Nevada doesn't have OTC tags. For as huge as Nevada is, there really is not a lot of habital area for Deer. Especially in the southern region. I'll look into the Unit 7 area. Is it a Trophy Area? I would at least like to get a good represenative of a Mule Deer. 24in with some mass. I do my own Taxidermy and want some more to do. I hunt hard and get out off the roads. I prefer to Still hunt, but will adapt to my surroundings, water, food terrain. How is that unit 1 and I think it's 20 B units like? Thanks for any MORE advice you can give me. I'm really appreciative.
