Dang, 57% down. Wasn't that also the unit where they still haven't met the wolf quota?

... 2178 elk in a zone that is perhaps 7500 sq miles (5 million acres)? ... and this piece of real estate is rugged, and little inhabited. My guess is that it is almost entirely public land. It blows my mind. There are probably that many elk in a relatively modest radius around the town in which I live. I would like to see published, along with the decline published, the decline from 2000 to 2010, and 1990 to 2010. Public land = land of no use (including no hunting).

What is it going to take for the right people to see that something needs to be done w/ these animals. Are these activist types going to push for the Elk like they have pushed for their wolves when they need to be reestablished because the wolves have wiped out the entire herd. THIS SUBJECT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL %&MB wolves!!
