Congratulations on putting number 3 on the ground.
Congratulations on putting number 3 on the ground and in the freezer. Sounds like you are having a great year. How many deer can you take? I know in some parts of Ohio you can take up to 6. I have two deer tags burning a hole in my pocket but my season does not open until 05 November. Good luck if you have more tags to fill.
Awesome MOTF!!!!! You are off to one heck of a fall season up there in ohio. Great eating Doe, I bet! Congrats to you!
By the way, you're not too far from those animals that escaped over by Zanesville. Any chance you saw a giraffe or a camel go by the stand this morning? I am seriously wondering if you'd be allowed to arrow one of those suckers since they are a non-game species. Too funny!
Congrats on number 3 MOTF!!!! Sounds like your going to have a full freezer this winter. She looks like a great eating doe. How many tags do you have this fall? I'm jelous of some of you guys where you can harvest more then 1 or 2 deer a year. I can obly get one if i don't draw a doe tag in the controlled draws. Again congrats and good luck the rest of the year.
Nice going. My buddy has taken 3 does with his bow this season already. Man I have got to get something. It’s like opening day when you’re out there and hearing shots off in the distance. You’re wondering what you’re doing wrong. Man I hate that lol. You get to camp and happy for your buddies then just go back to your stand all the more determined.
I will be taking 6 deer this year here in my part of Ohio. My son and daughter will also be hunting and hopefully will take out a few also. We are really involved in our church and one way we help minister is to provide deer meat to those having a rough time in our church. God has blessed me with some great spots to hunt and has given me the ability to do so. So, I in turn bless others with what God has also blessed myself and my family with.
I have to commend you for doing that. Donating wild game is a great thing to do, as it is very nutritious. I am sure that they really appreciate that, wherever your church distributes it. There is not enough of a success rate around here for me to have extra deer to hand out, so I give in other ways to my church. But it's great to see it done where people are able!
Yes, I am about an hour away from Zanesville. I couldn't imagine being up in my stand and all of a sudden here comes a big old lion or tiger. They also said there were 2 grizzly bears. At the least I would have them in my sights in case anything happened.
When calling coyotes, more often than not they will circle on a target they are
coming into and approach from the downwind side. Presumably they do this in
order to align what they smell, with what they are hearing.
This means that you should always have your downwind side camouflaged and have
an open shooting lane. If the area is heavily covered the coyote could come in
take a look and be gone, with you none the wiser.
