That's right, you read that correctly. I won't let a 14-15 year old convert me to vegetarianism, I am a morally bankrupt, self-esteem deficient, cold-hearted, bloodthirsty animal torturer whose very existence is as grotesque and incomprehensible as the day is long. NOT! I think there's something wrong with this country in terms of people getting a grip on the lines between fantasy bambi-movie BS and real life. When these little teenagers are out there on message boards attacking people and trying to force such views on them, things could be said to be well out of hand. Unbelivable as it may seem, an old story is repeating itself. Someone that young couldn't possibly understand that FACT that (aside from my factual opinion that vegetarianism sucks), that people have needs, nutritionally speaking. I'm extremely active physically, therefore require a diet high in protein and the RDA reccomendation for an average person is one gram of protein for every gram of body weight, and that people with various afflictions, not to mention pregnancy or ongoing treatment for numerous diseases, also require protein for healing and for tissue development. Does this radical give these facts their due attention? NO! Does this person ever consider the possibility, er, reality that hunting is common-sense wildlife management, and since we humans in our infinite wisdom, or lack thereof, have removed the factors that once controlled the populations of large, herbivorous mammals like deer to such an extent that they WILL overpopulate, they WILL deplete their own resources to the point of disease and famine, and they WILL spread disease to our own livestock! Points to consider when making an argument in favor of total vegetarianism? I most definitely think so, in fact, I know so.
Thank You!! I think every hunter has always wanted to say that to somebody.Never as long as i live and am physically capable will I ever stop eating what game I take.
I have! Probably why PETA thinks I am evil incarnate.

Some of the quicker animal rights activist are on to you there. Some have realized that without human hunting (or even in the presence of it) the herds will grow until they hit a resource wall.
To patch this up they introduce two solutions:
- Contraceptives for game (no kidding)
- Predator reintroduction
Contraceptives are nothing more than a bad joke. They are not cost effective, worse if contraceptives were used in place of hunting, the revenue stream from hunting would dry up, leaving zero funding of other critical non-hunted game programs. So you would be introducing a tax program to pay for this game sterilization. Right. I can see the average joe blow opening his wallet wide for that one.
Predator reintroduction also will not work for game management, for the simple reason that people (the general non-hunting public) will not tolerate big predators in the numbers necessary to keep game populations in check.
I think it's interesting that animal rightists consider a deer being slowly ripped apart by wolves to be less cruel than a bullet from a hunter's gun.
I'm 19 and willing to travel to any part of the country to help with "Population Control" Heck I'll even bring my own bullets and stay in my own truck if they want! LOL!
