I call bull without photos!!!!! lol

That is pretty cool.  You could do a photo blog entry, updating us with each step of the way.  What elevation are you at anyway?

I will tell you this. I have

I will tell you this. I have found 2 cow elk carcasses so far from first season and on both I have found that they left the ivories in them and then on one it was quartered using the gutless method and they did not take the tenderloins. On both none of the neck meat was taken. I must say you owe it to the animal to take all the meat.....YOU OWE IT TO THEM!!!!!!!

Nice

Thats cool that your able to keep everyone up to date.  What unit no. are you hunting?  Weather should be rolling in tomorrow.  I hear most of the state should get snow above 8000 feet.  So hang in there and I am sure it will cool off.

What a difference a day makes

What a difference a day makes 55 day and today it is 42 degress and cloudy......I like it a lot better. Hoping for some weather for the next 6 days....makes it feel more like elk hunting when it is cold out.

Funny how weather makes you

Funny how weather makes you feel that way.  This is my favorite time of the year, not just for hunting, but for everything.  There is that smell in the air, the cool, cloudy weather starting to seep in.  I can just smell the coffee, the holiday treats like the pumpkin and apple pies, and I can picture myself sitting in a tree stand watching the leaves fall.

Keep at it.  Let's see you get one down!!!
