I Am FREAKING Out Man!!!
I do not care what it takes, I need to make a move!

Never even got into the fishing swing this year, and the garden has been for doodoo, so I have been livin, breathin, eatin hunting since my elk camp ended last Dec!

I did have a couple pretty sweet late waterfowl hunts, and a day & a half at chasing the longbeards, but in over 8 months time, that just does not cut it!!!!

Then, especially since late May when I learned I drew my 1st choice archery deer tag (w/ ZERO pref points by the way!), ...my mind has been wound-up tight and spinning! ...then, you gotta see my pup! She's unbearable right now! Two-a-day training sessions doesn't help her any! Now she's just in sick shape and it's still three weeks till she can chew on a bird! (Hmmm? ...Eurasian doves are year round?)

Then I ended up snaggin a hidden cow elk tag with my deer hunting buddy & his sons, which has me royally pumped up for that chance at meat for the beast!!!

The anticipation was simply killing me slowly from the inside, so today I decided I am going to trade in my muzzy pronghorn for an OTC Archery tag!! …then I have an excuse to sneak out next weekend!!! Yeah!!!

Uh oh!!! …that means I better start shooting that bow like I keep saying I need to do!!!

Good luck and safe travels, to all those beginning their hunting season a week from today! (Here in CO that is!) …I am going to have to wait for the 19th, but I have GOT to stalk SOMETHING!

I think you summed up how a lot of us are feeling right now. I'm turning in my archery elk tag so I won't be able to start until Sept 19th!!! But the bighorn project I'm working finishes up next week so I'll be scouting for like a month straight!

Neat pic btw. Good luck on the prongs!

The wait is killing me too!

The wait is killing me too!  Hang in there just a little longer!

Did it take any preference points to get your ML antelope tag?  I tend to think it didn't, but I had to ask.

Also, is that picture along Hwy 34 looking east?

Great eye!!!

You're good! That is exactly where this was taken! I was right next to the Kuner Feedlot east of Kersey heading out late for a longtail hunt last year!

...and no, I drew that muzzy pronger tag 3rd choice this year.

I knew it!  I saw that

I knew it!  I saw that stretch of highway 5 days a week for 3 years as I made my commute from Kersey to Fort Morgan for work.
