....in two hours to head to Wyoming with my dad to chase some goats. Mind it we only have does tags this years but it should still be a good time.....calling for some colder weather and maybe some snow...so that should make it interesting.
As usual I'm late getting here but good luck Goose. I know you said they are only doe tags but antelope hunting is always fun and in my experience many times the does can be harder to get close to than the bucks. I don't know why but they always seem to spook much easier and further away than the bucks do. When there are no does around we have no trouble getting close to the bucks.
Too bad they are not a lot bigger as it's some of the best meat there is out there.
If you want to properly preserve velvet antlers, you will have to inject & brush them with formaldehyde or some of the new less toxic chemicals (4 in 1 solution works great as does Knobloch's antler in velvet tan) as its easier to use however, both will work.
