Hunting Partner needed in Colorado

I am looking for a hunting partner the 3rd Season in Colorado for GMU 211. If anyone knows any person that may be interested let me know. Area is between Meeker and Craig just off Hwy 13 in the coal mine area just south of the Yampa River. Easy access for any type of vehicle.

RockyMtnHog, I usually plan out 2-3 years and was booked up, otherwise maybe we could have hooked up. Have a great hunt and let us know how it works out.

Well my plans have changed since I originally posted. I will now be going out for the 4th Season (Nov 15-19). Could not go the 3rd Season as previously planned and I have some good tags (Cow, Bull and Buck). There are alot of Cow tags available for that season, but it is a No Bull season not sure about deer. So it is pretty much a meat hunt. I have seen alot of cows in this area. It is wide-open terrain with alot of ATVs, RVs, camp and hunters. If you kill something better have a rack or something to hang it on because the only trees are scrub brush. But, when the elk come through it is an absolute massacre. I have seen as many as 10 elk killed in a day.

I will let you guys know how it goes and if there is anyone that wants to tag-along you will be more than welcome.

Those late season cow hunts can be an absolute kick in the arse. It isn't out of the ordinary to see herds of elk milling around and camped out on the flats. Realisticaslly, it's pretty much dictated by the weather. By this time, the cold and snow depths have piled up a bit thus accounting for the migration of elk onto lower stretches.
Not sure about the dates you've mentioned, but those late, late season tags around December are about as close to filling the freezer as it gets. Lots of animals and lots of fun.

If you still neet hunting partner 3rd season

Me and my son are going 3rd season rifle GMU 12-23-24 cow & bull, we plan to leave Nov. 3rd when he gets out of school so we can glass & scout, welcome to join us or meet at a location up there.  We have a blazer, cargo trailer and a tent.  Better than hunting alone.
