Hunting or Shooting???

Whats the difference 200 acre High Fence or 200 acre Farm.

1. Deer eat at the same feeders, mineral lick and eat at the same Fields and drink the same water at 3 ponds and sleep in the same bedding area?
2. Tree stands and blinds are placed on trails between all these areas.
3. We have scouted the farm and know the deer uses the trails at 5 in the morning and 5 at night.
4. I enter the hunting spots before these times.
5. I watch 10 does uses the trails and few small bucks.
6. At 6:00 a 12 point keeper comes into range take aim, clean shot Deer down.

What is the difference???

?????

How would you hunt that farm with no fence? The same as with the fence? Like answer more then fence. Had 3 hunters come down from texas to hunt a high fence area around here. There where 120 deer in the 70 acre area. They hunted the area for 3 days. They said they only saw 12 deer an only got 2 shots. Like mom always told me try it you might like it. This is Kentucky Back woods briw patch.

Hunting or Shooting???

For me it would be "Choice".
The Deer have no choice except to be there as they are trapped by a fence.
Deer come and go into and out of areas and even though their "Core" area may only be 10-20 Acres they may roam 500-600 Acres throughout the year.
You have patterned your deer on the farm but they are not bound by that pattern, they can and will move off your farm at any time. Deer in a Hogh Fence operation do not have that choice. That is why High Fences are put up for hunting operations, the Deer can't leave and almost anyone can see one without much effort due to the small confined area that they are both in and it really doesn't matter whether it is 100 acres or 1000 acres the Deer can not leave when pushed or just want to roam.

But hey, thats just me....and who am I?

Hunting or Shooting?

This seems a little bit confusing to choose between the two(Hunting and Shooting), for which this should think the safety of the animals that was about to save on.

Hunting or Shooting???

Hunting is the method used to locate, find, drive or lure a game animal in with, to within a reasonable killing range. There are many methods of hunting.

Shooting is what you do with your firearm or bow on the animal once you have the game within a reasonable range.

I don't agree with it, but it is possible to "hunt" within a large fenced area.
