What are you chasing;deer, elk or antelope? If you've got the equipment for it (horses, llamas or a good pack & strong back) the Jarbidge wilderness is the place to look into for elk, deer. Big country that's steep & deep so have good boots & good spotting scope. Had some fantastic hunting around Elk Mtn (this was before there were elk there, mid to late 90's) for mzlldr deer but the word got out & the area got too crowded. Like brokenarrow said the Charlston area can be good but can be popular too for all three species - more so deer, antelope. The east side of the range, Pole Creek south to Marys River can is another area to research for all three species. The range fires of a few years ago REALLY changed the habitat burning off huge areas of sage, aspen, juniper & mtn mahongany. Good for elk & antelope; not so good for deer.

I hunted the east side of the wilderness and was able to shoot a decent buck at 9000' elevation near Camp Creek.
