Hunting goals

Has anyone ever heard of someone trying to harvest a deer in every state in the nation? My goal doesn't include Hawaii because it doesn't have native deer. How about taking a whitetail in every state where they live?
About two years ago I settled on that goal and have a long way to go, but I'm still young. I'm only 28 but have hunted CA, MT, WY, CO, NE, TX, AL, and SD, plus have tags for NM, ME, CO and CA this year.
Let's hear about some of your ambitious hunting goals!

No goals for me. I have some hunts I'd like to do, mule deer, elk, etc., but not really goals.

My goal this year is to harvest my first buck ever at the age of 43. I imagine I will react like a teenager if I get one.

How long have you been hunting? New to Big game? Have you harvested a doe yet?
Good luck!
I was a teenager when I shot my first deer, I couldn't believe I had finally accomplished it after years of failure.

Killed my first deer (doe) when I was 13 or 14 with a bow (recurve). I have killed plenty of does since with both rifle and bow but really have been concentrating for a decent buck since 2005. Passed on many scrappy racks last year and one decent 8 point this year that was just 2.5. But he doesn't get a pass if I see him in November and still have not bagged my first buck ever. See I am moving to Ohio for a new job in mid November and need to accomplish this goal before then here in KS.

My goal is to get a "wall-hanger" with my bow this year. I have a couple with shotgun, but would really like to stick a big buck this year.

Some meat for the freezer is always a goal, too. Yes

My goal is to successfully hunt the following during my lifetime. I plan on using both a bow and a firearm for each if possible.

Whitetail (I've only killed a small buck, so far)
Blacktail
Mule Deer
Elk
Moose
Bison

I guess I do have quite a few. I'm only 21, though...so plenty of time to get them all done if I work at it. I drive my wife crazy around this time of year.

My goal is to take my first bull and elk as well as my first buck ever. I also want to learn to call geese and have a great waterfowl season here in Northern Colorado.

Just fill the freezer! I have a general tag and a Whitetail doe control hunt tag.

Wouldn't mind getting a big Muley rack to give to my girls' dad for his b-day, big 60 this year right before Thanksgiving. He would be ecstatic. It would be nice but not really a goal.
