Dog Photos

Past and current dogs.  Now that the pheasant hunting in Iowa is so poor we have to travel more but we still get on plenty of birds here and SD and KS.

My Jenny is sort of spoiled. Sorry, but I don't have any "action" shots.

I didn't buy my dogs with the intention of them being hunting dogs, but they have done OK.

This is Peyton. Kansas pheasant hunting maniac.

Heidi retrieving a teal from the Arkansas River near LaJunta.

Heidi earned her HRC started retriever title in local hunt tests like this one.

Peyton helps haul out elk on an elk hunt near Durango.

I am no dog expert, but, your dogs look like Blue Heelers.

Yes sir.
It is true what they say about herding dogs have to be given something to do or they will get into mischief.
Luckily mine adapted to various forms of hunting pretty well.

I have known a few people who owned them. I always thought they were really neat dogs. I am totally amazed that you trained them for upland and waterfowl.

Nice looking beagles Copper.  Those pics remind me of shooting cottontails over my uncle's beagles growing up in Maryland.  It also reminds me of trying to keep my brother's beagle fenced in my yard - those guys are escape artists.
