Hunting buddies

We are always looking for more people to be hunting buddies here in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  In the areas where we hunt, there is not a lot of pressure due to everyone driving around looking for animals to shoot.  We actually get out in the woods and there is too much area for just the 2 of us.  We have one area 1/2 mile from our house where we could actually use 3 or 4 more people to hunt the area efficiently.  We can walk to this area from our house and within 10 miles from our house, we can hike and see all kinds of deer.  We have other areas that we hunt too and when there is only 2 of us, a lot of hunting area goes to waste.  In the 6 years we've been hunting here we have seen only 1 other hunter out of their vehicle and in the woods, with the exception when Scruffy's 2 sons and daughter-in-law came to hunt here from Wisconsin and they each got their deer in the first 3 days they were here(3 deer in 3 days).

We would also love to be invited to hunt other areas in the Black Hills and West River(South Dakota) where we have never been, in order to make friends and get more chances to hunt.

Thank you for the invitation

Thank you for the kind invitation.  If I ever find myself heading to your part of the country I will definitely keep it in mind.  I can't offer much by way of swap here in New York.  I hunt on about 50 acres and need to post it to kep the neighbors off (works most of the time.)  I see deer most days that I hunt but mostly does and the bucks I am happy to take would get passed by as too little horn to bother shooting on most western hunts.  But I am glad to have them!

What a great offer, so often

What a great offer, so often I see swap a hunt postings[which is illegal here in Alaska, unless your a registered guide] these are all about what can I get for, what I have to offer. What your offering is a chance for new experiences , and friendship, something I had hoped to find more of on outdoor forums. While traveling for a hunt requires  time & planing, I hope to hunt your area one day, more than that, with your attitude I can say if you would like to vist Alaska one day, and we can help with your trip please feel free to contact me.

Thank you

Thank you for the kind words.  Here in SD you can't charge to guide on public land, but we use our knowledge to help others have the kind of hunting experience that is fun and gives a chance to harvest a deer or pronghorn.  We have so much fun hunting and this year we will be bow hunting for the first time.  More time in the woods and more meat in the freezer.  It's a win-win situation.  We will gladly help by showing the area and sharing info about the areas we hunt with anyone who wants to come and hunt.  Friendship, camaraderie and good hunting makes it all worthwhile.
