OH BTW ., I wonder if the anties ever saw the coyotes take a deer . Now that is not a pretty sight to see a deer with 3 or 4 coyotes ripping it apart alive . They don't kill it first they drag it down and start eating . Now that is cruel . They usually start with the hams , the meatiest part . But it is an awfull thing to catch a poor coyote by the foot and then shoot it . Cry Cry Cry

"He looked at me and gave me the thumbs down . So I gave him the finger up ."

thenail.................am I missing something here? Usually when a person gives you the thumbs up that means they approve. Is it different in Nova Scotia?
Cause if I gave another hunter the thumbs up and he then gave me the finger I probably would not be to impressed.

Also gotta ask why you would put the deer on your engine hood of your Toyota.
It would cool out better in the roof rack or spread open in a trailer. I am not trying to flame you here but...........besides being poor PR for hunters (and yes I have already gathered you do not care what others think) it isn't the best for the meat and blood tends to be hard on the paint. I had a guy leave some mallards on the hood of my truck and they leaked a little blood. When I saw them and took them off it was already too late and the paint was permanently discolored.

The only place to transport my deer was the hood there is no roof racks and I was all alone,. I had quite a wrestle to get the friggin thing on the hood . I just can't picture me putting it on the roof by myself

OOPS!....Sorry, read to fast. Oops! I'll just kick myself a couple of times for you.

Well I know how the loading can be a problem. I usually find myself all alone with a moose or an elk and have to get it in a truck.

If you have slide in receiver trailer hitch, there are some need metal racks you can get for the back of your rig that will hold a deer and are relatively easy to get it into. Quite a few guys around where I live that have SUV's use them.

redrider, The trunk was full of everything but . I did see those rigs that fit in the trailer hitch when you remove the block . They are really neat rigs . No problem to get a deer loaded on that rig by your self

No matter the reason you have for transporting an animal on your hood, the antis see it as disrespect. I never back down from an anti, but get right in their face and politely rag on them about their killing sprees with skeeters, eating beef and pork and chicken that someone killed in a cage. I'm like a pitbull on a postman, politely chewing their nuts off.
