Hunt moose in canada, Qc

Firts of all,  my name is steven i'm begginer in this forum and begginer to write english. If you don't understand talk to me if it's not correct

For me, I hunt at québec in canada. I think that is good place to hunt moose. Why because we have '' un buché'' i don't know what is in english ( hewed or pyre). but we have excellent place to hunt moose after the rut of the animal. For me i love the preparation before the rut. Intall some salt in strain .... I technical to hunt moose it's this.

1-Watch if you are sure that you have moose in your territory

2- Have a good preparation 2-4 week before the rut Example: Make sure that you have a good pantry : hewed or pyre). Install some salt in strain to attract female and after the male. Some time is use buffer with urine of little moose why little moose( because it's simply if you have a buck the buck want have our territory but if it smell a presence of big moose it want stay out. Sorry if i don't wrtite good.... ;-)

3- my technical it's the fine hunt of still hunting. i'm occupy to do the male moose if i am sure that is a big buck or i do the female with buck to make out the buck.

This is basically what i do when i hunt.

I can explain my snesation when i hunt.

If you can i would like that you show me your impression about my text and after write a text about your technical .... Thank you same you don't understand all that i write...

I would be happy to learn more about hunting in Quebec.

Do you run a professional guide service, or just hunt with family?

welcome

You will fit right in here.  We all feel the same way about hunting.

Whether it is white tail or moose, or some other game animal we are all passionate about hunting.

I love all hunting but moose hunting most of all!

Welcome to the forum,

Welcome to the forum, Steven.  I also love to hunt just about anything.  I've only hunted moose in my home state of Montana.  It is very hard to draw a tag here. I've only drawn two tags in 35 years of applying.  I also helped a friend to get his moose.

Our moose hunting is strictly spot and stalk.  Any kind of baiting or salting is illegal.  I have never tried calling moose, but I found my first bull after I heard him calling.

The Canadian wolves that our government put into Yellowstone Park have greatly expanded outside of Yellowstone and beside decimating our elk herds, the wolves have greatly hurt our moose population.  Like I mentioned above, all of our moose licences are allocated by a drawing, and they are only valid in specific management units.  Because of the wolves, this past year the Department of Wildelive reduced the number of available moose licenses by 79 and completely closed 11 moose hunting units.

Welcome to the site Steven!

Welcome to the site Steven!  I grew up 6 miles from Quebec, so I am able to translate your "english" very well.  We get pretty much everything you are saying.... Thumbs up

I have spent much time on Rue St. Catherine, or watching Expos games before they moved, or visiting many of the great historic areas of Montreal and Quebec City.

The one thing I have not done is hunt in Quebec, but I have heard lots of great things about it.  I actually used to park 10 feet from Quebec where I hunt back home.  It was on a border road.  We'd park there, and to the north of us was a huge cornfield, all in Canada.  It was pretty neat living and hunting so close to there.

Looking forward to your posts about Quebec hunting.
