That's awesome BoneC!!!!  To be there together, and to have both of you get your first big game animals together, that just takes the cake.  Congrats to both of you, a couple of fine speedgoats and mulies!!

Congratulations on your mulies and antelope. It's great your out there with your son like that. I assume you meant first western big game hunt and not your first hunt ever. Antelope are addictive and I go back year after year as the're just so much fun.

Grind up some of one of those does, brown up with some onion & taco seasoning and make up a big Taco Salad.  Put the punched tags on the table to help remind you and your son of the great days in the field.

And the photo's are great!  At least you can figure out how to post them - I'm on the low end of the learning curve in that department.

Thanks guys! Yeah, it was our first Big Game Hunt. Although, it is baffling to me that Antelope are considered "Big Game". lol. We've both taken plenty of white tail here in Ohio. My son has 4 already this year. I have been working hard for a nice buck, but so far he is winning the battle. However, I am patient and persistent!

We are already planning future hunts and I'll have lot's of questions in the near future for that! lol.

Congrats to you and your son!  It sounds like it was a great adventure and the pictures prove it was!  Whitetails are considered big game animals so you are definitely a big game hunter... especially those SE Ohio deer.  Thanks for sharing your "Hunt"!

Wow, six animals on your first hunt out West!  With what you are also taking back in Ohio you must eat wild game at all three meals every day of the year, LOL!!!
