Huge Nebraska Buck

A friend sent me this one on e-mail.

I tried to find out more about it, but all I know is what I see.

A huge buck in a vehicle with a Nebraska licence plate.

Anyone know anything else about it?

It sure would look nice on anybody's wall!

nice one!

That is an immense buck! Congratulations to whoever bagged that big boy.  He's a wall hanger for sure.  Now what we need is the story - where was he taken, by who, when, with what and most importantly - how.  How on earth do you find a big boy like that and bring him home for dinner!

Thanks for sharing the photo.  I'll be looking forward to seeing updates with the rest - hopefully soon!

Mike

this is the best informationg I have gotten on this buck, check it out, he's a hog. A guy from texas shot this deer in nebraska in 2009. It was supposed to be the new nebraska state record but I looked on the game and parks website and it wasn't listed among the top trophy's taken, too bad. Hope the guy at least enters it into the boone and crockett club. wow

We from Nebraska feel the

We from Nebraska feel the state is heading in the right direction with the amount of big bucks coming out of here every year. We enjoy our deer hunting and have quite a bit of public land, but some of it is over crowded as most places, but out west there is lots of land to get away from most.

Great bucks. Nebraska is on

Great bucks.

Nebraska is on my must hunt soon list. I know the Pine Ridge area has a lot of deer but gets hunted very hard in rifle season. I'm leaning towards the december muzzleloader season for less pressure and somewhat of an off season hunt for me.

The weather up there can be the kicker on that one though from what I have read.

There are almost no restrictions on what you can use for optics or bullets now so I would not feel much less gunned than my normal hunting rifle.

Colorado is no optics, sabot bullets, and only loose powder allowed.

The pine ridge is a good area, It's a great place to hunt with lots of deer, we have a friend who lives in Chadron and yes the pressure is way down during the Muzzleloader season which is the entire month of December, weather can be tough but this past year was very warm. The grasslands can be a great place to check out as well. there are many good places out there.
