Your going in the right direction. Try as many bows as you can in YOUR PRICE RANGE then pick the one that feels the best. I wouldnt try ones out of my range cause you'll fall in love and the ones you can afford wont feel right. As far as that model I havent heard anything about it, have you found any reviews online to read, thats usally what i do.

I just typed hoyt turbo hawk into google and found a ton of info on it. from what i saw its a good bow. if its in your price range i'd say go for it.

It is a great bow.  I am huge Hoyt fan, and have considering picking one for a back up bow and for 3D.  I have a Hoyt katera and love it.  If you are maybe interested in a used bow, send me a PM and I know another forum that has a great selectiuon to choose from.  Alot of time you can get a 1 year old bow and save hundereds of dollars.  Just do not know if I can post the web page here with out getting in any trouble.

Thanks goose hunter jr.  I appreciate the offer on the used bow website, however, I think I will stay with a new one from my pro shop.  This will be only my second nice bow to ever own and this owner has been so nice to show me models and answer questions.  I fill as if I owe it to him to shop there.  If I was more experienced and educated on archery I might by used but right now I think I will stay with the pro shop.  Thanks for the encouraging word on the bow.  I think I will try to pick one up soon.

I will definately do just that.  I sold my thompson omega bp rifle this morning so I now have the funds for one.  My pro shop is closed till monday but I will be there with bells on when they open.  Thanks again for the advice.
