How tuff is a buff?

Very nice pics, especially the eland.
I'd be just too nervous hunting in South Africa. Not because of the Game, but a woman I went to school with was married and living there, got bitten by a black mamba I beleive and died before she could get help.

I'm just not that brave.

Your chances of seeing a snake - nevermind getting bit by one are pretty much negligible so don't let that stop you from coming to Africa. If you look where you walk and don't stick your hand in places where you can't see you should be 100% OK.

Thanks for the comments and reassurance but I hate those slitherly b******ds with a passion.
I have a friend in Austrailia with a standing invitation for as long asI want,,Nope.
I wouldn't take a free trip to Texas for a week with the Dellas Cowboy Cheerleaders, if they gave me the pick of the litter, why? ratlesnakes.
In my line of work, I've been shot at twice(not friendly fire by any means) one knife wound, and one encounter with an idiot with a chain saw, to name a few.
Even a rubber snake is a NO NO, but I watch every documentary about them on TV with no problem.
It's a terrible phobia but I got it, please give the free trip to the seond place contestant. Thumbs up

Hey Hammer I share your phobia af snakes. But I do live where they are, I see them, they die! Had a big black snake suprize me in a pasture several years ago. Lucky I only had a blank gun with me. Those things eat lots of mice and don't bite people,,,,,,I think! Damn I hate snakes! But about the Dallas Cheerleaders, well I'm old and I'm not dead,,,,I am single tho! Can I have yours?

Hell with the girls, you had to mention dog. Last week I had to put my german shepherd down(hips totally went) but he was a little over 14 years old. Today I was interviewed, yes interviewed, for a new shepherd.
I'll see if I can put a pic on here.

Sorry to hear about your dog Hammer. I fear my turn is next. "Otis" turned 14 this past spring. Needs help getting into the trk now but gets out on his own. Also gets on the couch and the bed alone. Sorry to hear of it.

Hey Redrider, they're all yours. At my age I find dogs better company and maybe I better not leave now. Otherwise, you know I would! Thumbs up
