How often do you check trailcams?

I try and go every 2 weeks but if I have something real good come in I try and leave it longer. I almost get as excited going out to pull the card as I do going hunting. Its like Christmas!

Trail Cam

The battery life on my cameras in warm weather is about 30 days so I try to leave them out that long to utilize the batteries.  It can be pretty hard to wait that long though.  I am sure most of you know this but pre-rut is one fo the best time to get awesome photos - set the cameras on scrapes that are not in areas you are hunting or out of the way scrapes and you will get some great photos.

I'll check mine in a new location after a week then if I am getting good pictures I'll leave it for up to a month.  It all depends on what is going on in the area.

What kind of cams?

What kind of cams are you guys running? I have a Moultrie that will last just over 60 days and a new Bushnell trophy that has gone for over 80 days now and the indicator still says ¾ left, this little cam is incredible!

You have to love those 16gb

You have to love those 16gb cards and a portable viewer.  The longest that I have tried my batteries out is a little over a month then they go from the camera to the flashlight.  I would hate to see a real nice picture and find out that I didn't get anymore because of dead batteries.

2GB cards

I just use 2gb cards and switch them out they hold close to 3000 pic's and use my camera as a viewer that way I take the card home and can look at them on the computer.
