$100 is not bad if you are going to be there anyway, but the transportation costs would be killer. It sure would be fun to sneak off for a pig hunt as a break between a few days on the beach on either side of it
At least it sounds good when I look out my window and see snow....
I threw this idea at my wife but it didn't go over so well. She totally supports all my hunting and I go far more often than anyone else I know. BUT she gets a little upset if I try to mix it in with a vacation together.
I finally agreed to maybe go with her to the Phillippines with her this year but she almost had a breakdown when I smiled and used the words fishing trip.lol
I used the vacation idea on my ex wife 25 years ago when we went to Hawaii. She wanted to bask on the beach one day which I didn't want to do so I ended up going on a one day hunt for wild pigs and she got her day in the sun. Now the day that we both went out marlin fishing that was another story. I didn't realize how sick she could get on a small boat and the smell of fish all over the place.
One of the things I struggle with when afield is keeping my rifle clean and in good working order. Small amounts of dust and dirt collect moisture; moisture can freeze rendering your action immovable when you need it most. I have seen this happen on multiple occasions, and over time, I’ve learned the cause and how to prevent this from happening.
The first thing that you need to avoid before going afield is leaving excess oil on the gun. Oil will trap dirt and sand in all the wrong places....
