How many tasty elks on this trail?

I went shed hunting today in my local unit that I rarely hunt. I didn't see any sheds, but came across this trail, which by my reckoning had to be 15 elk wide. Since they were traveling with that many abreast, how many deep would you guess? I normallly see them travel in single file or maybe two-wide. My guess is there was a lot more than 50 coming through, probably closer to 100.

EX, I have only seen elk move like that one time in my life, like you said normally they travel single file. When I saw this there were about 150 head, give or take a few, they were moving down a big ridge during archery season. There were three groups and the biggest group was in the middle of the ridge and they were spread out about 10 across, the other two groups were single file. All the elk were heading down the ridge at about the same pace. It was an amazing thing to see. Cool find!

I wanted to think there had to be close to 100 here, but that's a heck of a lot of elk, and I'm sure there was a heck of a lot in this group. I guess they'd only have to be 6 or so elk deep, by 15 wide to hit 100
