How many people have hunted game that is fenced?

I totally agree with you also but your a hard working guy right not some guy that just had money when they were born or a superstar that has money for just being themselves thats what Im saying there are too many of them teaching the totally wrong ethics that will get passed through there family and later influence other people.

This is slightly off-topic, but the comments on ethics and teaching our young reminded me of a time when my daughter and step-son were in the truck with me as we struck a pheasant. We hit good, but I couldn't see where it ended up.

The funny part was the kids asked - Dad aren't you going to eat it? I asked why they asked if I was going to eat it and they responded by reminding me that I told them you shoot eat the animals you kill.

Not saying one is right and the other is wrong, but there are definitely two (maybe more) motivations for hunting. One is because it brings you closer to your roots - the days when people depended on hunting, or the predator inside us. The quest is for the meat since you can't eat the antlers. For others its a sport, a social gathering and the trophy is a reminder of that good time.

For me, its a combination of both. Like all things, the problems lie in when the sides go to the extremes and have a closed mind.

Hey thanks Atomikall.

I was telling a friend about this place - how great it was and how great the people are too. You're definitely in that group of great people.

I did once, 9,200 acres of high fence for exotics. Ended up shooting 2 Axis does. Wasn't a bad hunt at all. Was a spot and stalk type hunt. I had a great time and would go back in a heart beat.

I don't mind the idea of fenced in hunts. Personally I wouldn't (why spend money on something that should be free), but I sure wouldn't look down on somebody for doing it. Now if I ever hear that the government would like to make it manditory for public safety, then yeah I would mind it. I always enjoyed that song "don't fence me in". Believe it was Willie Nelson?

Makes perfect sense especially considering that New Hampshire is the Live Free or Die state.

Atomikall, I wasn't aiming towards you. I was just throwing down my view. Like I said, I wouldn't do it. I have my own morals I stand by. I have two boys that are just getting into the tradition, and I definately want them to grow into the traditional hunt where I believe they will learn more. We'll be progressing from squirrel to coyote this year, and my oldest will be coming with me for the first time on a deer hunt. I'm very pleased they share the interest.
